Technical FAQs
Do I need to have access to a computer to attend?
Yes. Students who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch or have an active IEP may be loaned a computer to support the learning process. Eligibility and ratio for loaned computers will be determined later in the enrollment process. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves Utah Virtual Academy. We will arrange for technical support and troubleshooting for these systems.
What computer skills are required?
The Learning Coach needs to have at least basic computer skills. Use of the computer is an important part of the online school program. In the elementary grades, it is mostly the Learning Coach who interacts with the computer. Middle school and high school students are most successful if they have basic computer skills.
