Enrollment is also open for our part-time option through the Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) for students in grades 6–12.
Students can take up to a full course load with our part-time option as part of the Utah Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP). There is no enrollment cap, but there are strict deadlines.

Four Simple Steps to Enroll
Step 1
Create Parent Account
The K12 Enrollment Portal provides access to your online application to UTVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Step 2
Submit an Application
Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Enrollment Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select UTVA, and hit Submit.
Step 3
Upload Additional Documents
In this step, you’ll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.777.0682.
Step 4
Welcome to K12!
After successfully completing the enrollment process, your student will be approved. Please check your email for important information regarding your student’s status and how to access the Online School platform.

Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirements
State law requires a student to be at least five years old and no more than 17 years old on or before September 1 to be eligible for the current school year. With respect to special education, a person who is no more than 21 years old on or before September 1 and has not passed the eleventh grade is eligible for UTVA.
Proof of Residency
While attending UTVA you must maintain full-time Utah residency.
