Middle School Curriculum
Middle schoolers at Utah Virtual Academy have access to our Stride K12-powered online education program, which combines quality curriculum with personalized instruction from state-licensed teachers and one-to-one support. This winning combination surrounds your child with the education materials,* professional input, and personal support they need to succeed.
Discover Stride Career Prep
Middle school students begin to consider more long-term goals by discovering their interests in various career fields. Our Stride Career Prep program allows 7th and 8th graders to take a two-course series of career exploration where they get a broad overview of job fields, progressing from general information to more in-depth study into specific career opportunities. This insight will help them better choose a Stride Career Prep pathway in high school, giving them a competitive edge for college and career.
Every Day Is a Day to Learn
Your child's daily interactions with the Stride K12-powered online curriculum provides a substantial part of their quality learning experiences throughout middle school at Utah Virtual Academy. The curriculum maximizes the different ways students learn by complementing interactive online lessons with hands-on education activities.* Utah middle school courses include, language arts/English, math, science, and history as well as art, music, and world languages. Plus, we offer a robust Advanced Learner Program for grades K–8.
Support for Your Utah Middle School Student
In addition to instruction from our teachers, your child's Learning Coach (the parent or another responsible adult) provides student support and oversight. Because middle schoolers are becoming more independent, the Learning Coach spends about 2 to 4 hours per day helping their student.
